OUR ENGAGEMENT MODEL

  1. INITIAL DISCOVERY CALL

    • Most engagements start with a free, no-obligation introductory call, to better understand your requirements and see whether we're a good fit for your needs.
  2. SOLUTION WORKSHOP

    • If our expertise aligns with your needs, we'll arrange a follow-up meeting with your team and our delivery specialists.
    • Together, we'll scope out the project, identify the problem to be solved, and establish the high-level data architecture.
    • You'll also receive an initial estimate of the work required, expressed as a number of agile delivery sprints, each lasting two weeks.
  3. SCOPING & ESTIMATING

    • Our delivery team then scopes the engagement, estimates the number of sprints and resources required, and then shares an estimate of costs and timeline with you
    • We deliver all of our client projects as a series of agile development sprints of two weeks’ duration, typically running consecutively to deliver an agreed program of work.
    • A typical client engagement starts with a sprint for discovery, source data audit and planning then runs for an initial three months. Most engagements then continue for 6 to 12 months depending on scope and budget with discounts available for longer-term commitments.
  4. STATEMENT OF WORK

    • Once we've agreed on project scope, timing, and budget, you'll receive a Statement of Work (SoW) that details:
      • Background to the engagement
      • Requirements to be met
      • Proposed Solution and Delivery Plan
      • Fee Schedule
      • Any assumptions or Prerequisites
      • Primary Client and geovenics Contacts
      We’ll share a draft copy of the SoW for you to check, and then send the final SoW over to your contract signatory using Docusign, an e-Signature service.
  5. COMMERCIALS AND START DATE

    • Pricing is then discussed and agreed, and our standard Master Services Agreement is shared and signed-off by your team. A start date is then agreed, typically 2-4 weeks from the date of contract signature.
    • Sprints can also be scoped to larger hours of work/sprint (60hrs, 80hrs, 100hrs etc) and would be charged at a pro-rata rate.
    • A typical client engagement runs over a number of sprints and months, and is cancellable by either party at the end of each sprint, in-case your plans change.
  6. REQUIREMENTS & PLANNING SPRINT

    • The engagement then starts with a two-week discovery, requirements gathering and planning sprint that gives us, and you, a blueprint and roadmap for delivery of this first phase of your project.
  7. PROJECT DELIVERY

    • Delivery of the project phase then commences, typically running for 2-6 sprints of two-weeks duration, with regular sprint planning, standup and pairing sessions for the joint delivery team.
  8. SUPPORT & MAINTENANCE

    • Typically clients ask us to help deliver further phases of their overalll project, and once our work is complete we can set-up a support and maintenance retainer agreement to help keep things running smoothly.
